Its 115 meters of altitude still place it in a low strip, where the relief can gain a high level as it moves towards the Chaîne Centrale.
This position conditions mountain orientation and access. In hillside and enclosed valley areas, side changes, soil moisture and plant coverage can influence the march more than the altitude itself. Although no specific itineraries are detailed from this point, their location in the environment of Panié and Haut-Coulna suggests a use linked to approaches or displacements by ground of half tropical mountain, where rain, mud and loss of visual references can complicate progression even in moderate heights.
More than as an isolated destination, it is appropriate to understand it as a support in an area where geography commands: closed valleys, hillsides that force to change orientation and an environment exposed to rapid weather variations. In this type of land, a short day on the map may become slower than expected if the firm is wet or if the itinerary passes through wooded sectors. Planning must be prudent, especially if it is to link with higher sectors of the massif.
Since there are no nearby sources or routes described in detail, it is reasonable to leave with sufficient water autonomy and without making obvious connections with other shelters or summits. The actual state of access and local weather should also be verified before an approach is proposed, because in a humid mountain environment the orientation and terrain weigh as much as the distance.
