Here the continuity of the route weighs more than the proximity to a inhabited core. The Crobache Refuge, in the term of La Chapelle-en-Vercors and 1420 meters, fits the logic of the Vercors massif: a calcareous mountain of complex reliefs, where the map alternates forests, plateau edges, steps and more open areas without the need for great altitudes to demand attention.

His practical interest is in supporting his journey rather than as a basis for concrete ascension. In this sector they pass known routes of the Vercors, such as the Traversée du Vercors for the GR 93 and the GTV on foot, so that they can fit into a stage planning or a link between the massif sectors. There is also a karst interpretation path, something consistent with the area's terrain: limestone, eroded forms and orientation that can quickly change between forest mass and more clear spaces.

It is a reasonable distance on the paper, but in the mountain it depends on the actual layout, the gap and whether the source keeps flow at the time of passage.
