In this sector of Savoy, the useful reference is Saint-Martin-de-Belleville . The Cabane sous les Mûres Rouges , at 1850 meters, it is left in the mountain that dominates the valley and functions mainly as support on medium and high mountain terrain, rather than as a simple destination for walk. Its position brings it closer to the field of Pointe de la Masse and Le Petit Perron , two reliefs that help understand the character of the environment: wide slopes, marked levels and a progression that can be complicated if time changes. In a sector so exposed to the wind and to the changes of visibility, basic autonomy, orientation and an updated weather forecast weigh more than the proximity relative to known nuclei of the Tarentaise valley.
