The Cabane de Les Corones It fits above all as a step guard in a useful area to link long days. Its environment connects well with pirenees routes, including the route of the Senda Pirenaica GR 11 and with local routes that move between Valcebollère, Osséja and the network of roads of the French High Cerdaña.

It is located at the end of Valcebollère , in Occitania , 1860 meters, near the route forestière d'Osséja. This frame places it in a range of medium-high mountain where the shelter can serve both to divide a journey and to resolve a stage with exit or arrival from the nearby valleys. More than a destination in itself, it works as a practical reference within a field of open ladders and slopes, in an eastern part of the Pyrenees where the steps between sides and municipalities are frequent.

The information available on equipment and state is limited, so it is appropriate to propose the output with autonomy. There is a source about 1.38 km, reasonable distance but sufficient not to take for granted the immediate availability of water next to the shelter. In long days or with changing weather, it makes sense to reach with margin, reliable map or track and conservative foresight, especially if used as support within a journey and not as a simple short excursion.
