The height, about 430 meters, does not place it in high mountain, but it does place it in a forest strip where moisture, fog and time changes can make the day very much conditioned, especially if it enters the mountain with unstable foresight.

Practical use

The Abri du Heidenschloss It fits better as a support mountain shelter in the Bajo Rhine forest massif than as an isolated destination in itself. Planning must therefore be autonomous. Water from the beginning, time margin and attention to weather. In a moderate but very wooded area of relief, losing visibility or extending a simple route can completely change the use of a coat like this.
