Mountain refuge Abri de Goderdzi

Inhabitated ladera, road pass and medium humid mountain. Abri de Goderdzi appears in Ayara, in the surroundings of Danisparauli and next to the Batumi-Akhaltsikhe axis, about 1600 meters. This combination places it in a transitional strip: it is not a closed valley background coat or a clearly alpine point, but it is a useful support for those who need to be protected on a mountain day with changing weather.

The orientation here matters more than the distance. The shelter is located in an area of passage between sides of the interior of Ayara, with a broken relief and cords that can make the land read well before leaving the main road. In practical planning, water is one of the most favourable points. There is a very close source, about 230 meters away, which can facilitate a short stop or a night with a little less load. However, in the mountains it is appropriate to have a margin and not to depend on a single collection without verifying its state on the ground.

Mountain access may seem simple because of the proximity to a road, but that does not eliminate the demand. In this part of Georgia, fog, mud and rapid time changes are common. If you walk from low levels or from scattered villages, the day can be extended more by orientation and state of the land than by pure inequality.
