The reference of the high track of Castellasse and the mention to the orry point to an open mountain environment, with time changes that can feel soon and more intense than at the bottom of the valley. For mountain hiking in this area, its value is above all to serve as a guard or a point of support when the time, the meteor or the tiredness advise no longer the day.

Environment and practical use

Although there are no specific associated routes, the near highlight makes clear the mountainous character of the sector. At less than 6 kilometers in a straight line, summits such as the Pic d'Eyne , Pic de les Nou Fonts or the environment of Noucreus , all over or very close to 2,800 meters.
