Refuge de la Pare it fits mainly in a logic of journey: at 1832 meters, in the environment of Saint-Pons and the valley of Ubaye , works as a cutting point before entering more open and mountainous terrain. The level is not extreme, but is sufficient for the weather to change quickly and for the day to require careful effort management, especially if long routes are linked.
