Mountain refuge Refuge de Bassiès

In the mountain of Ariège, on the border of Aulus-les-Bains and in the sector of Bassiès, this free refuge is located in a strip of half and high mountain where the cords and lomas link with summits that clearly exceed two thousand meters. In a free shelter of this kind, autonomy weighs: safe water, time margin and attention to the fog, wind and state of the land according to the time. This logic of use places it closer to the mountain that plans and doses effort rather than improvised transit.
