Mountain refuge Cabane d'Auruzan

Between Seguer and the Route de l'Andrere

In this sector of the Ariège, the valley gains a mountain character quickly. At 1,620 metres, the Cabane d'Auruzan it is left in a strip of medium-high mountain where the forest is giving way to more open slopes and to a relief that announces hills and nearby summits. The reference to Follow helps to place it within the French side of Occitania, in an environment of transition to higher and more exposed areas.

Their practical interest is closely linked to the long-distance journeys.
