Abri Les Molières is 523 meters away, in the forest environment of Saint-Dié-des-Vosges, within the Vosgos massif. This height does not correspond to high mountain pirenaica or alpine, but it does correspond to a half-mountain moist and forest where the relief gains entity within walking distance of the valley bottom. Although the environment has nearby peaks that clearly exceed the level of the shelter, the main function of Abri Les Molières seems to be linked to the road traffic and the mountain of medium altitude, not to a base of long ascension. The logistics must be considered with caution: the invented sources are several kilometres away, so it is not appropriate to resolve the water in the vicinity. With limited information on equipment and state, it is reasonable to consider this coat as a simple resource within a well-planned day, especially if wet time, fog or a cross with several forest links are expected.
